New Website and Other News

Dear Colleagues,

First and foremost, Happy International Women's Day! We salute all the brave women who have found the passion and motivation to enter and succeed in a men-dominated sport. The more women there are in chess, the better the chess world will be.

We are happy that we can finally announce our new website!

The address remains the same, www.chessprofessionals.org but we have revamped and modernised the appearance - have a look and tell us what you think!

The most important novelties of the new website are the following:

1. The Forum section, where we invite you to share your opinions on any chess-related topic you can think of. We have created a few categories, but please tell us if adding new ones is a good idea. By having an English Forum we would like to serve as a one-stop-shop for all chess discussions in English, thus helping the community by having everything relevant in one place, without the need to search in different places on the internet.

When it comes to content-creation, we have posted on the homepage the articles of well-known author and columnist GM Daniel Gormally, an independent thinker whose ideas are always thought-provoking and deserve to be read.

2. We have connected our Twitch and Youtube channels. As you know, we already had our first stream and we have a second one coming (more on this in the next email). Make sure you subscribe to these as we are planning to add content on a regular basis.

We announced it on our social media as our way to help and support - we offer FREE Premium Membership to all Ukrainian players for 2022. Please send an email to our Secretary at secretary@chessprofessionals.org if you would like to become a Premium member.

Also, please be reminded that thanks to our cooperation with ECU our Premium members will have a chance to fight for the special ACP prizes at the upcoming European Individual Championships. This applies to both the open section, to be held in Slovenia from 26 March to 7 April and the women event, to be held in Prague from 20-31 August.

There is still time to become Premium members, either by becoming a new one, or by renewing your membership. Check out our new Join the ACP page where we have implemented an improved registration process.

As the pandemic recedes, we plan to start the ACP Tour again. We plan to have money prizes for the winners, so that's an additional motivation to become a Premium member!

This is probably enough for a single newsletter, but stay tuned for the next one where we will announce our next stream!

Wishing you all the best,

The ACP Board
